Why we started this way
Garrett spent years watching the same gap show up on job after job in Wichita: movers who would not touch assembly, and delivery drivers who dropped a box at the curb and drove off. Renters and families were left calling two separate companies and coordinating two separate appointments for what should have been one visit.
Xpress Moving & Furniture was built to close that gap. Every crew member is trained on both the moving side and the assembly side, so a bed frame that arrives flat pack the same day as a move gets built and placed in one stop.
How the crew is trained
New movers spend time learning to wrap furniture properly, load a truck so nothing shifts, and handle a dolly on stairs before they ever go to a customer's home. Assembly work is trained separately, since reading instructions and fitting hardware correctly is a different skill than carrying a couch.
Everyone on the crew can do both, which means a single team handles a job from start to finish instead of handing pieces off between specialists.
Working in Kansas conditions
Wichita weather swings hard between seasons, and our crews plan for it rather than getting caught out. Summer heat means water breaks and early starts. A windy spring afternoon means securing lightweight items before they catch a gust off an open truck bed.
None of that is unusual for a Kansas mover, but it does mean a plan that accounts for it rather than hoping the weather cooperates.
What you can expect
On time, respectful of your home, and honest if something is not going to fit through a doorway before we force it. If a problem comes up during the day, we say so plainly and work through it rather than hoping nobody notices.
